About the songs: other
Was the song, "Komm, S?sser Tod" written especially for the movie?
Yes. Anno originally wrote a piece in Japanese (it is included in
the "The End of Evangelion" CD booklet) which set the mood for the
song. The song was meant to be subtitled in Japanese during the movie.
Who are the 3 women seen standing during the live action scene?
You can see Asuka (Miyamura Y?ko), Misato (Mitsuishi Kotono) and Rei (Hayashibara Megumi).
"These scenes are excerpts of what the live action sequence of
episode 26' was supposed to be. Anno couldn't make it correctly (for
reasons I'm not aware of), so all we can see is a few live shots of
Tokyo and the one you noticed with "Rei", "Asuka" and "Misato", with
Shinji and Rei talking in background." (From a post by Olivier Hagu?)

The Hall of Gaff
During the initial stage of Instrumentality, Fuyutski states that the
Hall (or Room) of Gaff has opened. The Hall of Gaff is the place where
the souls of mankind are kept before they are born. In extra-biblical
lore, one of the signs of the apocalypse is the birth of a soulless
child whose existence indicates that the Hall has been emptied of
souls. The soulless child is, of course, the clone Reis. You might also
remember that the Childrens' sensei, in one of his many ramblings,
stated that the birth rate has been decreasing every year since the
Second Impact.
It should be further noted that Ritsuko calls the room with the
Rei-quarium (the "Rei aquarium", the LCL tank with the Rei clones) the
"Room of Gaff" as well.

Did Touji lose an arm when Unit 03 was destroyed?
When we see Touji in the hospital when Hikari is there, we can see that
he has clearly lost a leg, and his left arm is not in view. This does
not mean he lost the arm. We can see both of his arms intact when he is
being pulled from the entry plug, and in the storyboards for the EoE
movie he is shown playing basketball in a wheelchair, with two arms. So
contrary to popular belief, HE DID NOT LOSE AN ARM. Never ever say this
on the group. Both of Touji's arms survived and any arguments otherwise
are futile.
